UK Tatts Yearlings Day-1: $893k Nayef Colt

Wednesday, 6th October 2010

Shadwell Estates representative Angus Gold paid 525,000 guineas (A$893,000) for a colt by 4-time Gr1-winning sire Nayef (out of Darshaan mare Blue Symphony) consigned from Lady Carolyn Warren's Highclere Stud on behalf of trainer Luca Cumani. The colt is a half-brother to the Gr1 Fillies' Mile runner-up Fantasia & stakes-placed Pink Symphony. Gold commented: "He was a lovely horse. I didn't think he would make that much, but he a very athletic horse who is light on his feet. He is by a stallion who is very dear to Sheikh Hamdan's heart. Blue Symphony is a young mare & has already produced a group winner & it is a fast family."
