Meanwhile More Joyous & Linton both lifted their international ratings with feature race successes at Caulfield last weekend, resulting in immediate improvements to their positions in the provisional order-of-entry for the Gr1 Cox Plate (2040m at Moonee Valley on November 23). While the order-of-entry for the Caulfield & Melbourne Cups is decided on benchmark weights, entries for the Cox Plate are determined using the international rating system.

  • Macau Horse-Of-The-Year Luen Yat Forever equalled his rating of 108 when finishing 4th behind More Joyous in the Toorak Handicap & sits 23rd in the provisional order-of-entry.
  • Defending Cox Plate champion So You Think has joined Whobegotyou, Zipping & Shoot Out as the horses exempt from ballot in this year's race, courtesy of his victory in the Gr1 Yalumba Stakes (2000m) on Saturday, a win that lifted his rating from 122 to 125.
