US Classic Winner Da' Tara Selling At Keeneland
US Gr1-winning 5YO entire Da' Tara (the only horse to beat US Gr1 Kentucky Derby victor & 4-time Gr1-winning Vinery Stud shuttler Big Brown) "is selling as a racing or stallion prospect at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale" reported bloodhorse.com. In June 2008 Da' Tara (Tiznow-Torchera, by Pirate's Bounty) ended previously unbeaten colt Big Brown's US Triple Crown bid by leading all-the-way to blitz his rivals by 5.25-lengths in the Gr1 Belmont Stakes (12 furlongs) before 94,476 fans at Belmont Park in New York. Da' Tara (a US$175,000 yearling at the 2006 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga selected sale) hasn't raced since November 2009; to date he has won or placed in 10 of 19 starts (also including runner-up in the 2008 Listed Barbaro Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Pimlico) & earned US$743,090.
