NZB Ready-To-Run 2YO Breeze-Ups Concluded
Also in New Zealand, Day-2 of the NZ Bloodstock Ready-To-Run Sale breeze-ups was conducted yesterday, with 448 2YOs filmed & timed over the 2 sessions galloping down the final 200m of the main track at Te Rapa Racecourse. The track for the 2nd session was rated a "dead 5" with a penetrometer reading of 3.1 (slightly faster than Day-1 with a "dead 6" & 3.3). Yesterday's fastest breeze-up was provided by Kilgravin Lodge: Lot 303 (a bay colt by Ishiguru from Glee Club) clocked 10.08sec. Other notable times were: Lot 457 (a Testa Rossa bay gelding from Redoute's Choice mare Otravez) 10.41sec; Lot 90 (an Elusive City bay colt from Zabeel mare Sunshine Gold) 10.57sec; Lot 295 (a brown colt by Encosta de Lago from Gr1-winning mare Foxwood) 10.58sec; & Lot 433 (a bay colt by Stratum out of the race-winning mare Monterosso) 11.09sec.
