Hawk Wing Adds French Black-Type
In France overnight, multiple Gr1-winning former Coolmore shuttler Hawk Wing (Woodman-La Lorgnette, by Val De L'Orne) added a black-type success when UK-bred daughter Nova Hawk (Hawk Wing-Reveuse De Jour, by Sadler's Wells) returned from a 4-months spell & came from last-in-running to score a 2.5-lengths victory in the €55,000 (A$75,000) Listed Prix La Camargo (1600m) for 3YO fillies at Saint-Cloud. Nova Hawk (ridden by Stephane Pasquier for trainer Rodolphe Collet) defeated Private Eye (American Post-Rose Of Tralee, by Kendor) & fellow Uk-bred La Mouche (Dubawi-Summer Sea, by Bahhare). Last year as a juvenile, Nova Hawk also finished runner-up in both the Listed Prix Isonomy (1600m) at Saint-Cloud & Listed Criterium Du Languedoc (1600m) at Toulouse; overall she now has 2 wins & 2 runners-up from 6 starts.
