Former Coolmore shuttler & champion 2YO Johannesburg (Hennessy-Myth, by Ogygian) added a Gr1 triumph when 4YO mare Once Were Wild (Johannesburg-Wildesong, by Unbridled's Song) scored a 1.75-lengths victory in the $175,000 Gr2 Chairman's Handicap (2600m) at Randwick. Once Were Wild (ridden by Nash Rawiller for trainer Gai Waterhouse) defeated 5YO gelding Anudjawun (Yamanin Vital-Perceptible, by Personal Escort) & 6YO gelding C'Est La Guerre (Shinko King-La Magnifique, by Kampala). Once Were Wild (a $50,000 yearling consigned by Kulani Park at the 2008 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) currently boasts 7 wins (also including 2010's Gr1 Patinack Farm AJC Oaks over 2400m at Randwick) & 2 placings (including 2010's Gr3 Lexus Stakes over 2500m at Flemington & Listed Mona Lisa Stakes over 1350m at Wyong) from 18 starts for $496,050 earnings.
