Toby's Corner Wins US Gr1 Wood Memorial Stakes

In the US, the colt Toby's Corner (Bellamy Road-Brandon's Ride, by Mister Frisky) scored by a neck in the US$1 million Gr1 Wood Memorial Stakes (9 furlongs) for 3YOs at Aqueduct in New York. Toby's Corner (ridden by Eddie Castro for trainer Graham Motion) defeated fellow colts Arthur's Tale (Bernardini-Owsley, by Harlan) & favourite Uncle Mo (Indian Charlie-Playa Maya, by Arch). Toby's Corner took his record to 4 wins (also including February's Listed Whirlaway Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Aqueduct) & 2 placings (including March's Gr3 Gotham Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Aqueduct) from 6 starts for US$722,240 earnings.
