Kentucky 2YOs: US$400k Tiznow Colt
Tuesday, 12th April 2011
Owner John Oxley & trainer John Ward paid US$400,000 for a colt by Tiznow (out of dual stakes-winning Salt Lake mare Lake Lady) consigned by Steve Venosa's SGV Thoroughbreds as agent. The colt (previously purchased for US$80,000 at the 2010 Keeneland September Yearling Sale) clocked 21.2sec for 2 furlongs during the pre-sale breeze-up session. Oxley commented: "He is a horse that checks all the boxes. He may the best horse in the sale."
