Patinack Announces "No Sire Fee Increases" For 2011
Patinack Farm chairman Nathan Tinkler announced "we will not be increasing any of our service fees for the upcoming season". Tinkler noted: "In setting our 2011 stallion fees we have been mindful of the sales results throughout the year & have noted the competitive nature of the market. All Patinack Farm stallions will remain at their existing fee, which reflects the current stability of the marketplace. The present state of thoroughbred trading in Australasia, comparative to other parts of the globe, is a real indication of the resilience of the local industry - collectively we have been able to stabilise what was a volatile market." Patinack also confirmed the inclusion of 2 new dual Gr1-winners to its roster: Gr1 French 2000 & Gr1 French Derby winner Lope De Vega (the latter by 4-lengths to earn a Timeform rating of 125); plus Gr1 Victoria Derby & Gr1 Spring Champion Stakes winner Monaco Consul (also placed in the Gr1 Caulfield Cup, Gr1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes & Gr1 AJC Australian Derby).
