US Jump Jockey Jorge Torres Dies In Hospital

US jump jockey Jorge Torres died in hospital in South Carolina "as a result of injuries sustained in a fall during the Colonial Cup card at Springdale Racecourse in November" reported racingpost.com. Torres, 25, suffered a severe concussion, broken pelvis & fractures to his back in the fall; he was flown to hospital, but remained in a coma until his death.
