1st Winner For Irish Freshman Sire Moss Vale
Monday, 16th May 2011
In Ireland, triple Group-winning 10-year-old freshman stallion Moss Vale (Shinko Forest-Wolf Cleugh, by Last Tycoon) recorded his 1st winner when 2YO colt Greek Canyon (Moss Vale-Lazaretta, by Dalakhani) scored over 6 furlongs at Cork for trainer Ger Lyons. Greek Canyon was a 15,000 guineas (A$24,000) yearling consignment from Ballyhimikin Stud at the 2010 UK Tattersalls October Sale. His sire Moss Vale (who has 84 2YOs this season) stands at Rathbarry Stud for €4,000 (A$5,600).
