Monday, 16th May 2011

Former Arrowfield Stud shuttler Orientate (Mt Livermore-Dream Team, by Cox's Ridge) added a US black-type success when 5YO mare Little Polka Dot (Orientate-Silky Oaks, by Regal Intention) scored a 1.75-lengths victory in the US$53,000 Listed Unbridled Sidney Stakes (5 furlongs on turf) for fillies & mares at Churchill Downs in Kentucky. Little Polka Dot (ridden by Shaun Bridgmohan for trainer Thomas Amoss) defeated 4YO mares Jocata (Wildcat Heir-Jocasta, by Tactical Advantage) & Speedacious (Yankee Gentleman-Blushing Trish, by Rahy). Little Polka Dot took her record to 6 wins & 5 placings (including 2010's Listed Louisiana Champions Day Ladies Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Louisiana Downs) from 15 starts for US$207,999 earnings.
