Tuesday, 17th May 2011
Also in France overnight, the half-sister to 2009 Gr1 Prix du Jockey Club (French Derby) winner Le Havre (Noverre-Marie Rheinberg, by Surako) won on debut when front-running Irish-bred 3YO filly Scarlet And Gold (Peintre Celebre-Marie Rheinberg) scored over 2100m at Toulouse for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget. Scarlet And Gold was a €500,000 (A$695,000) yearling at the 2009 Arqana August Sale.
