Glass Harmonium Wins Eagle Farm Cup

Deceased former West Australian Alwyn Park Stud shuttler Verglas (Highest Honor-Rahaam, by Secreto) added a group success when favoured 5YO entire Glass Harmonium (Verglas-Spring Symphony, by Darshaan) scored a 2-lengths victory in the $250,000 weight-for-age Gr2 Eagle Farm Cup (2200m) at Eagle Farm. Glass Harmonium (ridden by Lisa Cropp for trainer Mike Moroney) defeated 4YO gelding Shoot Out (High Chaparral-Pentamerous, by Pentire) & 8YO gelding Scenic Shot (Scenic-Sweepshot, by Dr Grace). Glass Harmonium took his record to 4 wins (also including 2010’s UK Gr3 Gordon Richards Stakes over 10 furlongs at Sandown Park & 2009's UK Listed Hampton Court Stakes over 10 furlongs at Royal Ascot) & 4 placings (in both May’s Gr1 Doomben Cup over 2020m & Gr2 Hollindale Stakes over 1800m at the Gold Coast, plus 2010’s UK Gr3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes over 10 furlongs at Sandown Park & 2009’s Gr3 Darley Stakes over 9 furlongs at Newmarket) from 15 starts for $477,933 earnings.
