Aust-Bred Testa Secret Wins NZ Castletown Stakes
In New Zealand yesterday, Vinery Stud's 6-time Gr1-winning stallion Testa Rossa (Perugino-Bo Dapper, by Sir Dapper) added a juvenile black-type success (& 34th individual stakes-winner) when unbeaten daughter Testa Secret (Testa Rossa-Acacian Secret, by Silver Deputy) scored a 0.75-length victory in the NZ$45,000 Listed Castletown Stakes (1200m) for 2YOs at Foxton. Testa Secret (ridden by Lisa Allpress for trainer Kevin Gray) defeated fellow filly Elusive Red (Elusive City-Cape Merlot, by Cape Cross) & the gelding Snow Excuse (No Excuse Needed-Kirkberg, by Mighty Avalanche). Testa Secret (passed-in for NZ$60,000 when consigned by Hallmark Stud at the 2010 NZ Bloodstock Premier Yearling Sale at Karaka) now has 2 wins from 2 starts for NZ$30,625 earnings.
