Torio's Quest Wins Queensland Guineas
Triple European Gr1-winning shuttler Oratorio (Danehill-Mahrah, by Vaguely Noble) added a group success (& 11th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when gelded son Torio's Quest (Oratorio-Quest For Pleasure, by Quest For Fame) scored a 4-lengths victory in the $250,000 Gr2 Queensland Guineas (1600m) for 3YOs at Eagle Farm. Torio's Quest (ridden by Hugh Bowman for trainer Brett Partelle) defeated fellow geldings Benny's Buttons (Refuse To Bend-Stolen Beauty, by Mossman) & Spot The Rock (Fastnet Rock-Can't Hackit, by Fasliyev). Torio's Quest (a $15,000 yearling consigned by Bowness Stud at the 2009 Magic Millions Adelaide Sale) now has 5 wins (also including January’s Magic Millions Guineas over 1400m at the Gold Coast & December’s Magic Millions Stakes over 1200m at Wyong) from 10 starts for $851,650 earnings.
