Also in the UK overnight, former Australian champion 1st-season sire Exceed And Excel (Danehill-Patrona, by Lomond) added a juvenile group success (& 39th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when unbeaten daughter Best Terms (Exceed And Excel-Sharp Terms, by Kris) prevailed in a 3-way photo-finish to the £75,000 (A$) Gr2 Queen Mary Stakes (5 furlongs) for 2YO fillies at Royal Ascot. Best terms (ridden by Richard Hughes for trainer Richard Hannon) scored by a short-head from US-bred Shumoos (Distorted Humor-Wile Cat, by Storm Cat) with a further head to fast-finishing Caledonia Lady (Firebreak-Granuaile O'Malley, by Mark Of Esteem). Best Terms now has 3 wins from 3 starts for £49,640 (A$76,000) earnings.
