Tobique Retired To Stud At NZ Grangewilliam
Also in New Zealand, stakes-placed Tobique (Redoute's Choice-Mammoth, by Marscay) has been retired to begin stallion duties this year at Waitotara-based Grangewilliam Stud, replacing Danfive (withdrawn from service due to fertility problems) & Sandtrap (euthanased after 2 seasons) on its roster. Tobique (trained in Sydney by Allan Denham) recorded 3 wins (including the Canberra Guineas) & 2 placings (including runner-up in the Listed Neville Sellwood Quality at Canterbury, plus 4th in the Gr1 Randwick Guineas & 6th in the Gr1 Rosehill Guineas) from 13 starts.
