Inglis Weanlings Day-1: 80% Clearance Rate
Overall 130 weanlings sold for nearly $1.9million at an average $14,567 & a clearance of 80%. Inglis bloodstock director Jonathan D’Arcy commented: “The catalogue was down on pedigree from 2010, so given the horses we had to sell, it was a satisfactory result. 80% is a good clearance rate at any weanling sale & I am sure buyers are pleased with the value they were able to secure during the session. There is certainly money to be made by pin-hookers looking to sell some of these weanlings at next year’s yearling sales – as evidenced by the strong New Zealand presence today.”
