South Africa Horses-In-Training: $52k Esteco

In the South African sale ring, Michel Nairac paid top price of R400,000 (A$52,000) for 4YO gelding Esteco (Hennessy-Evenly Halo, by Halo Sunshine) at the 1-day Michael Holmes Bloodstock Super Sale in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Esteco (consigned as part of the annual reduction by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum) has won 4 of 7 starts & most recently finished runner-up in South Africa’s Gr3 Lonsdale Stirrup Cup (2400m) at Greyville on June 4. He will now race in Mauritius.
