Monday, 1st August 2011

Former shuttler Elusive Quality (Gone West-Touch Of Greatness, by Hero's Honor) added a French juvenile black-type success when US-bred daughter Elusive Kate (Elusive Quality-Gout De Terroir, by Lemon Drop Kid) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the €55,000 (A$74,000) Listed Prix Six Perfections (1400m) for 2YO fillies at Deauville. Elusive Kate (ridden by Olivier Peslier for trainer John Gosden) defeated Irish-bred Pestagua (Lawman-Pop Alliance, by Entrepreneur) & fellow US-bred Dear Lavinia (Grand Slam-Baroness Richter, by Montjeu). Elusive Kate (a US$70,000 yearling at the 2010 Keeneland September Sale) took her record to 2 wins from 3 starts for €27,500 (A$37,000) earnings.
