Also in Canada, US Gr1-winning 8YO freshman stallion Bob And John (Seeking The Gold-Minister's Melody, by Deputy Minister) recorded his 1st stakes-winner (& 6th individual 1st-crop winner) when US-bred gelding Jon’s Golden Run (Bob And John-Sheza Honey, by Honey Jay) scored a 1.25-length victory in the C$50,000 Listed Buffalo Stakes (8 furlongs) for 2YOs at Assiniboia Downs in Winnipeg. Jon’s Golden Run (ridden by Rohan Singh for trainer Emile Corbel) defeated fellow US-bred gelding Calitor (Offlee Wild-Van Every Way, by Sea Wall) & US-bred filly She’s Regal (Going Commando-She Is Impressive, by Regal Classic). Jon’s Golden Run now has 1 win & 2 placings from 3 starts for C$38,329 earnings.
