Sister Madly Wins Sprint Series Heat 2 Stakes

Flagship Arrowfield Stud stallion & former Australian Champion Sire Redoute’s Choice (Danehill-Shantha's Choice, by Canny Lad) added a group success when favoured 5YO mare Sister Madly (Redoute's Choice-Jade Tiara, by Bureaucracy) returned from a 22-weeks spell to score a 1-length victory in the $125,000 Gr3 Sportingbet Sprint Series Heat 2 Stakes (1200m) for mares 4YO & up at Caulfield. Sister Madly (ridden by Damien Oliver for trainer John Sadler) defeated 6YO mare Valentine Miss (Danetime-Torolosa, by Housebuster) & top-weighted 4YO mare Lone Rock (Fastnet Rock-Pride Of Pine, by Lion Cavern). Sister Madly (passed-in for $775,000 on a reserve of $800,000 when consigned by Edinburgh Park as a yearling at the 2008 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney & subsequently sold for $1 million to Bill Mitchell, acting on behalf of Segenhoe Stud, at this year’s Magic Millions May National Sale on the Queensland Gold Coast) now has 3 wins (also including February’s Gr3 Southern Cross Stakes over 1200m at Randwick) & 6 placings (including 2010's Gr1 Robert Sangster Stakes over 1200m at Morphettville, Gr2 Yallambee Classic over 1200m at Morphettville & Listed Sheraco Stakes over 1100m at Rosehill, plus 2009's Gr1 Arrowfield Stud Flight Stakes over 1600m at Randwick & Listed Reginald Allen Quality over 1400m at Randwick) from 14 starts for $375,780 earnings.
