French Arc Sale: $699k Silver Pond

Gerard Larrieu from Chantilly Bloodstock (acting for Abu Dhabi-based businessman Saeed Nasser Al Romaithi) paid €510,000 (A$699,000) for this year’s French Gr2-winning 4YO entire Silver Pond (Act One-Silver Fame, by Quest For Fame) also consigned from trainer Carlos Laffon-Parias. Larrieu commented: “Mr Al Romaithi has had very good luck with this sale, as the 1st horse he bought here was Marinous who went on to win the Gr2 Grand Prix de Deauville & ran well in the Arc last year & the 2nd was Rajsaman (dual Gr2-winner & multiple Gr1-placed).”
