Evergreen 9YO gelding Kasbah Bliss (Kahyasi-Marital Bliss, by Double Bed) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in France’s €250,000 (A$343,000) Gr1 Prix du Cadran (4000m) for 4YOs & up at Longchamp (after finishing 4th in this race in 2008, then 2nd in 2009 & 3rd last year). Kasbah Bliss (ridden by Gerald Mosse for trainer Francois Doumen) defeated 5YO entire Tres Rock Danon (Rock Of Gibraltar-Tres Ravi, by Monsun) & dead-heating US-bred 4YO entires Brigantin (Cozzene-Banyu Dewi, by Poliglote) & Ley Hunter (Kingmambo-Lailani, by Unfuwain). Kasbah Bliss took his record to 8 wins (including April’s Listed Prix Right Royal over 3100m at Saint-Cloud, plus both 2009’s & 2008’s Gr3 Prix Gladiateur over 3100m at Longchamp) & 17 placings (including August’s Gr2 Prix Kergorlay over 3000m at Deauville & April’s Gr3 Prix De Barbeville over 3100m at Longchamp, plus 2010’s Gr1 Prix du Cadran over 4000m at Longchamp, Gr2 Prix Vicomtesse Vigier over 3100m at Longchamp & Gr3 Prix De Barbeville over 3100m at Longchamp, as well as 2009’s Gr1 Prix du Cadran over 4000m at Longchamp, Gr1 Hong Kong Vase over 2400m at Sha Tin & Gr2 Grand Prix De Deauville over 2500m at Deauville) from 34 starts for €692,669 (A$949,000) earnings.
