Lady Lynette Wins Blazer Stakes

Tasmania's Armidale Stud stallion Ladoni (Danehill-Lilac Charm, by Bustino) added a group success when 7YO mare Lady Lynette (Ladoni-Queen's Own, by Coronation Day) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in $200,000 Gr2 Blazer Stakes (1400m) for mares 4YO & up at Flemington. Lady Lynette (ridden by Nicholas Hall for trainers David & Scott Brunton) defeated 4YO mare Booklet (Tale Of The Cat-Carabine, by Anabaa) & 5YO mare Dysphonia (Lonhro-Stutter, by Night Shift). Lady Lynette (a $13,000 yearling consigned by Armidale Stud at the 2006 Magic Millions Tasmanian Select Sale) took her record to 13 wins (also including both February’s Listed Vamos Stakes over 1400m at Mowbray & Listed Bow Mistress Trophy over 1200m at Hobart, plus 2010's Gr3 Tesio Stakes over 1600m at Mooney Valley, as well as 2009's Gr3 Independent Cranes Stakes over 1600m at Moonee Valley, Listed Carsales.com.au Classic over 1600m at Caulfield & Listed Vamos Stakes over 1400m at Launceston) & 15 placings (including September’s Gr2 Stocks Stakes over 1600m at Moonee Valley, both April’s Gr2 Queen Of The South Stakes over 1600m at Morphettville & Listed Shadwell Stud Australasia Stakes over 1440m at Caulfield, plus March’s Gr2 Sportingbet Sunline Stakes over 1600m at Moonee Valley, as well as 2010's Gr2 Stocks Stakes over 1600m at Moonee Valley, Gr3 Cockram Stakes over 1200m at Caulfield & Listed carsales.com.au Classic over 1600m at Caulfield, in addition to 2009's Gr1 Myer Classic over 1600m at Flemington & Gr2 Matriarch Stakes over 2000m at Flemington) from 42 starts for $982,383 earnings.
