At First Sight "Dream Could Be Over" For Melb Cup
Prominent owner Lloyd Williams “fears the Melbourne Cup dream could be over for the most exciting of his imports At First Sight” reported The Herald-Sun. The setback that caused At First Sight to have an elevated temperature & miss last Saturday's Gr1 Caulfield Stakes “has robbed him of a week of trackwork” & Williams confirmed: “You don't want to miss a day of work at this time of year & he's missed a week. That impacts pretty hard with his Melbourne Cup campaign. He was back working this morning (Tuesday), but he'd have to run in the Moonee Valley Cup (Saturday week) to be a chance of running in the Melbourne Cup & I'm not full of confidence he'll do that.”
