O'Brien Says So You Think "Ran A Stormer"
Meanwhile the connections of So You Think were pleased with his effort, despite the defeat, with trainer Aidan O’Brien declaring: “He ran a stormer! He's a big horse with a big heart. The boys (Coolmore owners) will have to speak about his future & make a decision.” Racingpost.com summed up: “It was a race with fantastic strength in depth, boasting 7 previous Gr1-winners who had amassed 24 successes at the top level between them. It was run at a solid pace & resulted in a course-record time . . . . . . (The winner Cirrus Des Aigles) had to dig very deep to master the runner-up (So You Think) . . . . . . This was another sterling effort in defeat (by So You Think), but perhaps his exertions in the Arc (a fortnight earlier) just took a toll late on. It remains to be seen if he is now put away for the year or goes to the well once more by travelling to the US Breeders Cup next month.”
