Helmet Favourite For Gr1 Cox Plate
Wednesday, 19th October 2011
Following yesterday’s barrier draw for Saturday’s $3 million Gr1 Cox (2040m) at Moonee Valley in Melbourne, Helmet (gate 11) remains a narrow favourite at around $3.50 over Kiwi raider Jimmy Choux (10) who is at $3.90. Helmet & Jimmy Choux will need to do what only Sunline has been able to achieve in the past 15 years, after drawing the outside half of the 14-horse field. Among the other contenders, Rekindled Interest (3) is at $9, ahead of $13 chances Glass Harmonium (4), Secret Admirer (8) & Lion Tamer (16). It’s $15 & better the rest.
