1st Foal For UK Gr2-Winning Sire Hellvelyn

Also in the UK, the 1st foal by Gr2-winning 8YO stallion Hellvelyn (Ishiguru-Cumbrian Melody, by Petong) is a filly born at Bucklands Farm in Gloucestershire, reported racingpost.com. As a 2YO, Hellvelyn won the 2006 UK Gr2 Coventry Stakes (6 furlongs) at Royal Ascot & finished runner-up in that year's Irish Gr1 Phoenix Stakes (6 furlongs) at The Curragh; subsequently he also won 2007's UK Listed Beverley Bullet Stakes (5 furlongs) at Beverley, before moving to the US where he finished 3rd in the 2008 Listed Quick Call Stakes (5.5 furlongs) at Saratoga. Hellvelyn stands at Bucklands Farm for £2,500 (A$3,800).
