1st Aust-Bred Winner For Vital Equine
UK Gr2-winner & now Western Australian-based Touchstone Farm 8YO stallion Vital Equine (Danetime-Bayalika, by Selkirk) recorded his 1st Australian-bred winner when 2YO filly Unpretentious Lass (Vital Equine-Wongkaew, by McFlirt) scored over 1016m at Bunbury in Western Australia yesterday for trainer Damian Winn. Unpretentious Lass was passed-in for $23,000 on a $25,000 reserve when consigned by Touchstone at the 2011 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale. Her sire Vital Equine (who previously stood at Bearstone Stud in Shropshire in England & sired 6 juvenile winners from his only English crop in Europe in 2011) won the UK Gr2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster (plus notching a runner-up in the UK Gr1 2000 Guineas & 3rd in France's Gr1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere).
