Goffs Feb Mixed Day-2: $615k Teo's Sister
In Ireland overnight, winning 4YO mare Teo's Sister (Galileo-Speirbhean, by Danehill) became the most expensive horse ever sold at the Goffs February Mixed Sale when purchased for €500,000 (A$615,000) by Frank Benillouche from promient French stud Haras de Bernesque during the closing session at the 2-day auction in County Kildare. Teo's Sister (consigned from Jim Bolger's Glebe House Stables) is a full-sister to unbeaten European Champion juvenile & dual Gr1-winning Darley shuttler Teofilo & Benillouche declared: "She's lovely filly & and a very well-bred one. We were looking to buy a quality mare like her for the stud & we are very pleased to have got her. She's from a top family & she is a really good mare to bring back to the stud. I thought that she was good value."
