Magic Millions Perth Day-3: $110k Blackfriars Colt
In the auction ring, West Australian trainer Neville Parnham paid equal-top price of $110,000 for a colt by Durham Lodge Thoroughbred Stud's Gr1 Victoria Derby winner Blackfriars (the 1st foal out of winning 7YO Scenic mare Crossed Wires) during yesterday's conclusion of the Select Sessions at the Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale at the Belmont Sales Complex. The colt was consigned by Durham Lodge & his dam Crossed wires is a half-sister to both 4-time-winner & Gr3-placed Wynyard Hall (in the news last weekend when her daughter Darlington Abbey won the Magic Millions Perth 2YO Classic), as well as 7-time-winner & Singapore Gr3-placed Dark General.
