Bradbury Given 18-Month Ban

Wednesday, 3rd June 2015

Victorian track rider Damien Bradbury has been disqualified by the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary (RAD) Board for 18 months after pleading guilty to being in possession of an electronic device commonly known as a jigger, reports racing.com. Bradbury was charged with possession of an electric apparatus capable of affecting the performance of a racehorse whilst riding trackwork at Mornington on 20 April. In assessing the penalty the RAD Board took into account the period in which Bradbury has already been stood down, meaning the disqualification will expire on 22 October, 2016.
