Treve Never Better: Head Maarek

Tuesday, 9th June 2015

Trainer Criquette Head-Maarek says she is delighted with the progress of Treve after watching the superstar mare step out for a routine piece of trackwork yesterday morning, reports Sky Sports. The dual Arc winner resumed with a resounding victory in the Gr2 Prix Corrida at Saint-Cloud just over a week ago and is on track for his next assignment in the Gr1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud on 28 June. "The champ is very well and looks in great form, never better," Head-Maare said. "She had a little canter (on Monday morning) and there were no problems - she looked perfect. She is all set for Saint-Cloud." The Prix de Saint-Cloud is the second race of a four-race campaign aimed at an unprecedented third Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe success in October. Seven horses have won Europe's weight-for-age championship twice, but no horse has won three.
