At Randwick in Sydney, Coolmore's dual hemisphere Gr1-winning Australian-bred sprinter Choisir (Danehill Dancer-Great Selection, by Lunchtime) added a black-type success when 4YO chestnut gelding Wouldn't It Be Nice (Choisir-Mia Cat Dancer, by Tactical Cat) scored by 0.3-length for trainer Paul Perry in the $100,000 Listed June Stakes (1100m) for 3YO+, over 6YO mare Avoid Lightning (Blevic-Ya Michelle, by Success Express) & 8YO gelding Zaratone (Zariz-Comeback Queen, by King's Theatre). Wouldn't It Be Nice took his record to 5 wins (including the Gr3 Concorde Stakes) and 9 placings (including the Gr2 Premiere Stakes) from 29 starts for $403,050 earnings. Wouldn't It Be Nice was a $40,000 purchase by Perry at the 2012 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale from the draft of Southern Cross Breeders.
