Mick Price Debutante One To Watch At Bendigo

Thursday, 11th June 2015

In an 1100m Maiden at today's Bendigo meeting, north-west of Melbourne, a stunningly-bred 3YO filly, Mefnooda (Medaglia d'Oro-One World, by Danehill), takes on what appears very light company in her first race start. A $420,000 yearling consigned by Newgate Farm at the 2013 Inglis Easter Sale, her grand-dam is Prawn Cocktail, a half-sister to Royal Academy & Terlingua, dam of champion US sire Storm Cat. Trained by Mick Price and carded to have Damian Oliver in the irons, she is owned by high profile owner Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum who shares ownership of potential superstar 3YO colt Pride Of Dubai with Coolmore Australia, China Horse Club Racing & Emmaroo Bloodstock.
