Treve Well Ahead Of Saint-Cloud

Thursday, 25th June 2015

Dual Arc heroine Treve (Motivator-Trevise, by Anabaa) is the headline act among the 13 horses left in Sunday's Gr1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud, reports Sky Sports. The Al Shaqab Racing-owned 5YO resumed with a brilliant 4-length win in the Gr2 Prix Corrida at Saint-Cloud against her own sex last month, proving that she was well and truly on track for an unprecedented third Arc success in October. "Touch wood, Treve is in tremendous form and Criquette [trainer Criquette Head-Maarek] is very pleased with her," said Harry Herbert, racing manager to Al Shaqab. "There is a bit of rain around and we would like some of that. You saw in her last race she seems to be better than ever and hopefully she will put up a bold performance and take another step in the right direction before a shot at a third Arc." He added: "Her last race was over a trip too short for her, so imagine how far she would have won by if it was over a mile and a half. It is lovely to see her come out of a race so well. We go into Sunday full of hope."
