Miracles Of Life Retired
Dual Gr1 winner Miracles Of Life has been retired and will shortly commence her new career as a broodmare, reports horseracing.com.au. The 4YO daughter of Arrowfield Stud stallion Not A Single Doubt had returned to light trackwork after winning the Gr1 Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville in May, but her US-based owner Stonestreet Stables informed trainers Peter & Paul Snowden on Wednesday that she had run her last race. "It was a fitting end to her career to go out a winner and to do it in Adelaide as well was quite special," co-trainer Paul Snowden told RSN radio. "There are not a lot of horses that can get back to that Group 1 level and that was a testament to her ability and how tough she was." He added: "She was in light work and pre-training and then we got the call yesterday afternoon [Wednesday] that they were going to retire her and send her to stud. She is going to Coolmore and I suggest that it would be one of their stallions." Miracles Of Life, who was purchased by Barbara Banke's Stonestreet Stables for $900,000 at the 2014 Magic Millions Teeley Assets Dispersal Sale, retires with 8 wins from 17 starts, including the Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes & Gr1 Robert Sangster Stakes for $1,578,270 in prize money.
