Queensland New Home For Dreamscape
Promising stallion Dreamscape (Choisir-Faith In Dreams, by Ferdinand) is set to relocate from NSW to Queensland, where he will stand at the property of Lucas Bloodstock. The move coincides with three winners for Dreamscape – all of them winners before – in the past few weeks. One of those, dual Kembla Grange winner Red Dream, has her first city start at Randwick tomorrow for trainer Kerry Parker, with the 3YO expected to acquit herself well. A triple Group-winning son of Choisir, Dreamscape is the sire of Bugatty who made headlines when topping the 2013 Magic Millions Gold Coast Horses In Training Sale at $310,000 after breezing up over the 200m in a blistering 9.85 seconds. He went on to win at Flemington and Moonee Valley over 1000 metres before an undisclosed offer saw him exported overseas earlier this year. "Dreamscape is a terrific type and a lovely walker. He was a class horse over sprint distances and is producing racehorses that become multiple winners," said Lucas Bloodstock's Ben Lucas who overseas the family's 200-acre property. "The fact that his sire Choisir is now a proven sire of sires is also a great selling point." Dreamscape hails from the famous Thong family, with the Blue Hen mare herself appearing as his third dam. This is the family of the ill-fated but exceptional young stallion Northern Meteor, as well as Sadler's Wells, Nureyev and Fairy King, among others. Dreamscape will stand at a fee of $4,400 this season. Lifetime breeding rights are available.
