Successful Pin-Hook Tops Fasig-Tipton July Auction

Friday, 10th July 2015

At the midway point of the Fasig-Tipton July Sale in Kentucky, a colt by Scat Daddy is the current leading yearling, having sold for US$385,000. According to bloodhorse.com, the colt was purchased by Florida's James J. Crupi. The result was a pleasing pin-hook for Redmon Farm (selling under the Indian Creek banner) who purchased the son of stakes-winning Irish-bred mare Starbourne – she placed in the Gr1 Irish One Thousand Guineas – for US$90,000 as a weanling at the 2014 Keeneland November Sale. It is expected that the sale-topping colt will later reappear at a 2YO sale for resale.
