Rising Romance Jump-Out Next Week

Wednesday, 22nd July 2015

Meanwhile, Tom Dabernig, who trains in partnership with his uncle David Hayes, says star Kiwi mare Rising Romance will have a jump-out at their private training facility at Euroa before deciding upon a suitable race in which to launch her spring campaign, reports Racing.com. Rising Romance (Ekraar-Post Romance, by Postponed) joined the Hayes and Dabernig yard after previously being with New Zealand trainer Donna Logan,  who prepared her to win 5 races from 18 starts, including the Gr1 Australian Oaks as well as a second placing in last year's Gr1 Caulfield Cup. "She's going to have an unofficial trial here at the farm early next week and then she'll be heading down to Flemington to wind up," Dabernig told RSN radio yesterday. "She's probably carting a little bit too much condition at the moment but that'll tighten now that her work is stepping up." Dabernig said the Gr1 Memsie Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 29 August was a possible starting point.
