Wild Dude Wins Gr1 Bing Crosby Stakes
At Del Mar in the US, 5YO entire Wild Dude (Wildcat Heir-Courtly Choice, by Doneraile Court) registered the biggest win of his career when surging late to score by 1.25-lengths for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer in the US$300,000 Gr1 Bing Crosby Stakes (6 furlongs) for 3YO+, over 5YO gelding Masochistic (Sought After-Trotinette, by Unusual Heat) & 4YO entire Kobe's Back (Flatter-Well, by Well Decorated). Wild Dude took his record to 6 wins (including the Gr2 San Carlos Stakes) and 7 placings (including the Gr1 Triple Bend Stakes) from 16 starts for US$724,887 earnings. Wuld Dude's victory earned him an automatic entry in the US$1.5 million Gr1 Breeder's Cup Sprint at Keeneland in October through the "Win & You're In" series. "We were very pleased with the way he ran today," trainer Jerry Hollendorfer told Blood Horse. "It's his first grade I (and) a 'Win & You're In' race, so hopefully at the end of the year, we'll be able to do something."
