Offers Roll In For Magnifisio

Thursday, 30th July 2015

Gr1-winning West Australian mare Magnifisio (Magnus-Ifestio, by Key Business) could be headed to the breeding barn with connections fielding offers from interstate breeders, reports the West Australian. Owner Alan MacAlister says he received a strong expression of interest in the Winterbotttom Stakes winner last week. "There are some people making some noise about buying her as a broodmare prospect," MacAlister said. "A bloodstock agent contacted me on Thursday and Friday last week and I'm waiting to hear from him again. If she's going to the breeding barn, it would have to be done quickly." The 5YO daughter of Magnus has won 12 of her 25 starts to date, highlighted by her Winterbottom Stakes victory in November last year. "If she doesn't go to the breeding barn, she'll come back for another crack at the Winterbottom," MacAlister said. "We'll see. I'm happy either way." Magnifisio will join trainer Vaughn Sigley's Port Kennedy stable if she is not sold.
