Savabeel Wins NZ General Sires Premiership

Friday, 31st July 2015

Across the Tasman in New Zealand, Waikato Stud's outstanding stallion Savabeel (Zabeel-Savannah Success, by Success Express) has won the New Zealand General Sires Premiership in comprehensive fashion from Darci Brahma and fellow Waikato Stud stallion Pins. The victory follows his third placing last year and runner-up position in 2013. The Cox Plate winner has already sired 42 stakes-winners (25 at Group level), among them 9 individual Gr1 winners, and promises to be a stallion of considerable note for a long time to come. Meanwhile, in Australia, Savabeel's Red Ransom 5-time winning half-brother Arlington, who was both Gr1 & Gr2-placed, is proving very popular at $5,500. He stands at Nick Posa's Lincoln Farm in NSW.
