Juveniles Shine At Gold Coast Breeze Ups

A filly from the second crop of Blue Diamond Stakes winner Reward for Effort sizzled on a successful day of breeze ups at the Gold Coast Turf Club yesterday in preparation for the Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale. Some 72 top racetrack prospects, 69 of them two-year-olds broke 11 seconds with the well educated offerings providing a great preview to Australasia's best performing breeze up style auction. Lot 155, the Reward for Effort filly from the winning Canny Lad mare Gender Bender was the clear quickest of the day - stopping the clock in her 200 metre breeze in a sizzling 9.92 seconds. The stock of Reward for Effort have been excelling around the country with his first crop including stakes performers Gold Symphony and Take Pride. The quickest colt of yesterday's breeze up session was Symphony Lodge's Tycoon Ruler full brother to stakes winner Jet Style who ran 10.11 seconds. One more breeze up session will be held with approximately 70 lots to be clocked a day prior to the Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale on October 12 - the sale is October 13.
