Perfect Reflection Set For VIC Debut

Monday, 15th February 2016

Boom West Australian filly Perfect Reflection (More Than Ready-Reflected Image, by Bluebird) is set to make her eastern states debut for new trainer Darren Weir in Saturday's Gr3 Vanity Stakes (1400m) at Flemington. Perfect Reflection had a trial at Camperdown on Friday to prepare for her highly anticipated return to the track. "She had a nice hit-out and she'll have another strong gallop with Palentino next Tuesday [tomorrow] and that'll have them both ready to run on Saturday,'' Weir told Racing.com. "She's a very nice filly and I've been really pleased with the way she's coming on.'' Owner Bob Peters has already revealed that the 3YOs primary autumn target is the Gr1 Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington on 5 March. Perfect Reflection established herself as one of the most exciting racehorses in the country when winning the Gr1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) in early December. She became the first filly in history to win the race since its inception in 1979 and in the process extended her unbeaten record to 5 wins from 5 starts for $863,950 earnings.
