Catch A Fire Wins Gr2 Angus Armanasco Stakes

At Caulfield in Melbourne, Australia's Champion 2YO Colt of 2007-2008 and Widden Stud sire Sebring (More Than Ready-Purespeed, by Flying Spur) added a group success when the filly Catch A Fire (Sebring-Polska, by Encosta de Lago) scored by 2.3-lengths for trainers David Hayes & Tom Dabernig in the $200,000 Gr2 Angus Armanasco Stakes (1400m) for 3YO fillies, over fellow fillies Mossin' Around (Mossman-Rhythmic Affair, by Octagonal) & Pasadena Girl (Savabeel-Nina From Pasadena, by Redoute's Choice). Earning her maiden black-type win, Catch A Fire was a $40,000 yearling consigned by Widden Stud at the 2014 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale. Her record now stands at 2 wins & 3 placings from 7 starts for $171,260.
