Gr1 Winning Kiwi Filly Back In Work

Thursday, 23rd June 2016

Trainers Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman have welcomed Gr1-winning filly Luna Rossa (Written Tycoon) back to their Cambridge stables, while triple Gr1 winner Turn Me Loose's (Iffraaj) return is not too far away, reports theinformant.co.nz. Luna Rossa marked herself as one of the most talented juveniles in New Zealand when winning the Gr1 Manawatu Sires' Produce Stakes at Awapuni in April. “Luna Rossa’s back in work and looking great. Turn Me Loose will need a little bit more time, but everything is looking good with him as well," said Forsman. “At the moment the plan is to kick Luna Rossa off in the Gold Trail Stakes and then follow through the three-year-old fillies’ races and into the 1000 Guineas, as long as it turns out to be a suitable target for her. At the moment you’d say that sort of race would be tailor-made for a filly like her." Forsman added: "We don’t have any firm plans yet for Turn Me Loose. We’ll just bring him up in his own time and see how he’s coming along before we make up our minds on that.”
