Baffert Happy With Arrogate

Tuesday, 17th January 2017

The world's highest rated horse, Arrogate (Unbridled's Song-Bubbler, by Distorted Humor), put in a solid six-furlong gallop at Santa Anita Park on Sunday as he continues his preparation for the inaugural running of the US$12 million Gr1 Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream Park on 28 January. The new star of US racing shot to the top of the World's Best Racehorse Rankings following his thrilling win over California Chrome in the Gr1 Breeders' Cup Classic in November. Trainer Bob Baffert said Arrogate was given an easy time in the workout. The 4YO son of Unbridled's Song will have one more hit-out at home before departing for Gulfstream Park, Florida on 24 January. “It went well today, I could tell,” Baffert told the Paulick Report. “With every work, he's progressing." he added: "It didn't seem like he was going that fast but he was clicking right along. I couldn't be happier with the way we're coming into this. He's right on schedule. We just need to keep him healthy."
